What is a Face or facial toner?
A Face Toner or Facial Toner simply refers to a lotion or cleaning agent used on face, which is designed to clean the impurities from the skin and shrink the skin pores to make skin look great and feel good. Facial toners can be applied either directly on to the skin / face with finger tips, or you can use damp cotton for applying toner on the face. Or if not the there are spray toners which you can directly spray it on the face and clean it with damp cotton or wash it off.
The most important job of a toner is to remove the impurities from your skin and maintain the shin’s natural pH balance. A pH (potential Hydrogen) level is measured from 1-14. pH level 7 is considered as ‘neutral’, 1 – 6.9 is considered as ‘acidic’, and 7.1 – 14 is considered as ‘alkaline’. The most favorable pH level for your skin normally is 5.5. To obtain a healthy and natural skin tone to resist and fight germs and bacteria is to maintain pH level of 4.5 – 6.0 is very much necessary. Here is when the need for Facial Toner arises. A good face toner will help to maintain optimum level of pH balance.
